WORKING GROUP 2024 REVIEW SOLAR FARM DEVELOPMENTS
To the Parish council meeting 13th January 2025
Within HK&SD PC boundaries
Horton Wood.
The developer is currently working on the planning conditions attached to the new consent; these and the remaining pre-commencement conditions under the original consent remain the developer’s priority this will dictate when the project can physically commence construction.
They are still targeting the summer of 2025; however, this is the current estimate and the actual programme start date is yet To Be Confirmed.

Chimmens Farm.
This planning application was rejected by SDC.
However, we have been advised that the developer intends to appeal the decision and further information is imminent; residents and organisations that made comments on the original planning application will be contacted directly by the reviewing inspectorate

Update:
Following Sevenoaks District Council's decision to refuse the application for the proposed Chimmens Solar Farm, RES is appealing to the Secretary of State, against the decision.

Gabrielspring Wood
This development is in Farningham PC jurisdiction and is significantly smaller than other developments in being about 40acres (see map1 hatched blue and labelled W GAB G W), is awaiting an SDC planning decision.
Dean Bottom Solar Farm
The proposed development is in Fawkham PC jurisdiction and of a similar size to the Horton Wood array, the developers proposed a consultation presentation, however, to date this has not taken place and there has not been a formal planning application. (See map1 hatched pink and labelled DB)
